Moose Boost classes are extra curricular courses for children 2 years and older designed to "boost" your child's experience. They are offered in 6-8 week segments four times a year. Dance Exploration
This class will explore all types of dance. Every week a new type will be introduced and explored. We will explore Jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, and ballet. Each week will introduce something new as we warm-up, practice across the floor exercises, and learn new moves. The last two sessions we will learn a dance that involves all types put together.
Ms. Maegan is a two-year-old teacher at Dancing Moose. Maegan has taught several very successful Moose Boost dance classes in the past. She has been dancing since she was three years old and loves to get her students involved in the fun! She has been trained in all types of dance and was on the drill team, Dance Company, and cheer squad in high school.
Ballet
This exciting class is great for beginners or experienced ballerinas. Dancers will learn many
different ballet techniques and positions through fun activities on the floor and with the ballet bar. Dancers will practice skills of performance and learn how to blend different moves into a routine, which they will perform for their families at their recital. This class is a fun way for children to get active, practice coordination, and build confidence.
Ms. Dani has been participating in ballet since she was a small child. Ms. Dani has taught ballet in multiple settings and has done a great job teaching Moose Boost ballet! Ms. Dani has a great deal of skill and experience and has a knack translating that into fun and interactive lessons children that are experienced or beginners.
Paint Exploration
Painting in a whole new way! Each week we will explore different paints and tools while we make art with finger painting, sponges, Q-tips, toothbrushes, bubbles, paintbrushes, and feet. By the end of the course your child will have many masterpieces to show off in the final art show.
Ms. Tara is a two-year-old teacher at Dancing Moose and loves to help children make new discoveries through artwork. She enjoys fostering the creativity of each child and teaches to have fun and explore! Ms. Tara makes a great effort to engage children in activities that use multiple senses and provide hands on experiences.
Junior Scientists
Learn about science through hands-on activities and observation each week. Our fun science lab will include experiments and activities such as: growin space crystals, excavating dinosaur bones, hatching our own ancient triops, making a potato clock, geodes, creating a gyser, magnent exploration, and live animal observation.
Ms. Annie is a teacher at Dancing Moose and has taught 6 previous sessions of Moose Boost. She has always been interested in teaching a science experimenting class. She loves experimenting to see different outcomes. She has designed many fun experiments that are sure to bring the excitement of science to life for her students.
Fun Fitness
This class will focus on all the basic soccer skills for each age level with drills and games. This class will cover dribbling, passing, shooting technique and more. We will learn through warm-ups, games, fun competitions, and scrimmages each week. This class is great for beginners or experienced players.
Mr. Brittin is currently a University of Utah Pre-Medical student who enjoys learning about science and math. He has a passion for learning about and promoting physical health. He has taught many successful Moose Boost sessions and is excited to offer Fun Fitness for the winter months. Children tend to gravitate towards him as he always makes for a fun and engaging experience.
Dancing Moose Theatre
We will be acting out a musical version of The Little Red Hen. Children will have their own part, script to practice, songs to sing, and a costume. Each child will get a chance to shine while we have fun practicing our play and interacting as a group. It will all end with an exciting performance for their friends and family.
Ms. Chelsea, Ms. Mallissa: These are two of our very talented Dancing Moose teachers. Chelsea and Mallissa both love theater and are excited to teach DMMS students to enjoy performing and the confidence it can instill. Ms. Mallissa has been doing dance her whole and both teachers took drama and choir classes throughout school and have performed in front of many audiences.
Animal Club
All new adventures! We will be exploring birds, cave animals, monkeys, animal teeth, mystery animal that each member of the animal will have to "babysit" (adoption available only if parents want to. It will most likely be a butterfly, praying mantis, fish, or aquatic frog). We will end with a Dinosaur dig and awards ceremony. New members will be awarded their Official Animal Club t-shirt, returning members will receive an animal club sash with pin or an animal club hat upon the completion of this course.
Ms. Holly is currently the lead teacher in the two-year-old class at Dancing Moose. Ms. Holly loves working with children and watching them discover new and helpful things. She greatly values art as a form of expression and loves watching her students get creative through their own unique artistic creations. Ms. Holly has taught the “Getting Creative” class for several sessions and has a knack for creating a fun and engaging experience that is unforgettable for her students!
Parent-Child Yoga

Through music, poses and connection kids flourish. You will get to work with your child to enjoy the many benefits of as a team. This class will be very stretchy with some muscle enhancement in a mind body spirit sort of way. Yoga creates a unique and engaging way to bond with you child! Beginners or the more experienced are welcome in this course.
Ms. Laura has been a yoga instructor for 8 years and has been teaching children’s yoga for 2 years now. She have been the yoga movement teacher at Dancing Moose and thoroughly enjoy dong that. Through music, poses and connection kids flourish. The class will be very stretchy with some muscle enhancement in a mind body spirit sort of way.

Ms. Jessica (Love & Logic Instructor): Jessica Engel is Director of Operations at Dancing Moose and has four children, ages 10-20, who have given her a vast range of parent/child experiences. Jessica has also taught Montessori for 15 years and has been at Dancing Moose for four years, providing valuable insight to parents and teachers in the areas of behavior and discipline. She will teach it four times throughout the year, corresponding to the four annual Moose Boost sessions. Each session will consist of seven one-hour classes. We encourage all parents to participate in this opportunity. She is offering this course to the public for free in order to educate our community. The only cost is a $10 workbook that can be shared between two people.
